We had Lapats for lunch yesterday. I ordered the Pad Gra Prow (chicken) and Green Curry (chicken) - both were delicious. I asked for extra spicy and they did not disappoint!!! It was super spicy, just as requested! Even my husband who is a hot sauce (habanero and hotter) fanatic, he tried the leftovers and was blown away...in a good way. Most places don't believe me when I say make it extra spicy. However, if a server asks if I want it "Thai spicy," I definitely waive my hands, laugh, and say "no, no, not THAT spicy." "Thai spicy" is a completely different level of chili heat, that has in the past has almost melted my face off. I eat quite spicy food and am used to it, so be careful with your requests to increase the heat. As for a previous review from another customer who complained about the red/panang curry, I had the opposite experience. The green curry was thick and very flavorful. From my experience, having a friend who is a Thai restaurateur from Thailand, and having had many curries while touring Thailand, this is how an authentic Thai curry should be. It should not be thin, runny, or watery, which is what I've typically experienced from other restaurants around the bay area over the last few decades.

Extremely delicious thai food. Authenticly spicy. Chill ambiance and friendly service. Located in Little Saigon area. Recommend: Kuay Tiew Haeng (Dried Noodles) Pad Gra Prow with Fried Egg Moo Krob (Pork Belly) Also had the green dumplings but turns out we don't like chives.

I've only been here once and I'm already a fan. The food here is sooo good! I tried the Pad Kra Prow for the first time. Love the spicy basil stir fry with an egg on top. The plate is huge and so satisfying. The papaya salad is fresh and delicious and has a super nice presentation. I didn't get to try the pad Thai but my friend finished it in no time so I know it's good. I love Thai food and I'm so happy that a friend took me to this restaurant. I used to walk by but never went in. It's under new ownership about 5 years ago. It's near my work so I'm definitely coming back for lunch for sure!!!

I finally get to try the Thai spicy pork bone soup that I've seen on YouTube and social media, we got the medium spicy and man did that broth have a good kick to it and it was super flavorful like a spicy Tom yum soup full of lemon grass and chilis and it was perfect with a side of rice. Definitely coming back to try the other dishes.

We ordered to go online and stopped by to pick it up on a Friday night at 11:15pm after a concert near by at Bill Graham. We had Tom Kha (Chicken, Spicy) , Pad Pick Khing (Prawns, Spicy), Green Curry (Chicken, Spicy) and Brown Rice. Everything was tasty and the level of heat was nice. There were big chunks of veggies in the curry so they didn't skimp. Only the Tom Kha stood out as fantastic. Overall, we were very happy with being able to have a late night meal that satisfied our hunger.

I've never been here because I don't want to climb over all those drugged out human furniture that are clogging up the street leading up to Lapats. However, with the upcoming APEC meeting, sf decided to do its job and play hide the bums so we ventured over here for lunch today, We were seated immediately. There was just another table besides us. I ordered a prawn pad Thai. It was really good and the portion was just right. Restaurant is clean. Service is attentive. We will come back again when the clear the streets again

This little gem of a Thai restaurant might be tucked away on the border of Civic Center-Tenderloin, but the restaurant is not your usual hole-in-the-wall late night restaurant that some might be used to. The inside is relatively clean and the waiters brought out food quickly. The food is delicious, and if you're thinking of going with the usual pad thai or fried rice, think again. Definitely try the Kuay Tiew Haeng - it came out with all the condiments on top and was a melting pot of flavors between crunchy peanuts, sweetened fish sauce, spicy chili chili, and the ground pork. Plenty of fresh herbs and lemon balanced out robust, sharp flavors. The durian sticky rice is also amazing and had a decent amount of condensed milk and sticky rice that we could have shared between more than two people. I visited late at night right before a concert with a friend who highly recommended Lapats for authentic Thai food. Another real hidden gem in the Tenderloin.

Great food and very helpful waiters. I got the pad Thai and pad see ew, both came out hot and we're tasty. Good amount of meat and sauce for a noodle dish. The durian sticky rice was pretty good. It came with a generous serving of rice and enough condensed milk to be eaten with every bite. The durian was sweet and creamy, very ripe. It was a small piece of durian though. Waiters were very responsive and gave me anything I needed very quickly. Good shop to visit if you're ever in the area

They've got different chefs going on because their Pad See Ew sometimes have the Chinese broccoli or regular broccoli going on. I added on their beef. A bit on the dry side and not enough wok flavor. Green Curry was nice. I like how they offer the option of the raw crab to their papaya salad. In my books, it's more authentic with it. Their Tom Yum soup could have been more spiced or pack a stronger kick that it was missing on the flavor. Thai Iced tea was refreshing! Spot on for Thai dishes!
